Gov’t criticized for interfering the work of religious leaders.

The Emeritus Bishop of Cyangungu Diocese in Rwanda, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey
Rwobusiisi, has criticized the ruling National Resistence Movement-NRM
government for interfering the work of religious leaders.

Bishop Rwubusisi, made the observation yesterday, while preaching at
the closure of 2018 Brethren conference by the Diocese of Kigezi that
was held at the diocesan convention grounds on Rugarama hill in Kabale

The annual conference was started on Friday under the
theme, “Do not conform to the standards of this world,” from Romans
12:2. The Retired Bishop also condemned the increasing murder cases
and corruption in Uganda and Rwanda, which he blamed on selfishness of
the perpetrators. He cited how most women are always brutally
assaulted by their husbands.

According to the bishop of the Kigezi Diocesan, Rt. Rev George
Bagamuhunda, the conference was organized to prepare Christians and
guide them towards a rightful path in the New Year 2018.
