Family struggles to raise Shs 60M for Kidney transplant of Bukoora parish Chief
The family of the Bukoora parish Chief, Archangel Mugyenyi, in Kitumba Sub County of Kabale district, is struggling to raise at least 60 million shillings for his kidney transplant. Mugyenyi 47 is a resident of Bigombe road in Lower Bugongi of Northern division Kabale municipality and also the former catechist at Bugongi Catholic Church.
According to a consultant physician at Kabale regional referral hospital, Dr Anne Marion Namutebi, Mugyenyi was in November 2018 diagnosed with end stage kidney disease at Mulago hospital and has since then been on a treatment. However, Dr Namutebi, Mugyenyi, has since become non responsive to medical therapy and requires urgent renal replacement therapies, including hemodialysis and a kidney transplant at a cost of 60 million shillings in Kenya.
Mugyenyi’s wife, Jackline Kyarimpa, told our reporter yesterday that they have used up all their money, buying different medicines and are now seeking for help from well-wishers.
