With three days to the Voice of Kigezi Ekigata concert, when the radio will be celebrating its 10years of service, a section of listeners, has expressed their thoughts, on how the radio has spurred development socially, economically politically and spiritually. The celebrations will be held 4th August in Kabale municipal stadium.
Councilor for people with disabilities, say that Voice of Kigezi has helped in promoting rights of vulnerable people. Twesigye adds that the radio has also helped in promoting agriculture through programs Enkubito and Ba’omugeiga.
The Kihanga secondary school Head Teacher in Rukiga district, Onesmas Rukundo and the Director of save the girl child Uganda, Kellen Mashemererwa, say that the radio has kept its listeners informed about politics of Uganda, through Orukiiko program.
The founder of Voice of the Elderly, Zadok Kamusiime, says that Voice of Kigezi has impacted its listeners socially by equipping them with rightful information and promoting rights of vulnerable.
