Muhabuura diocese has lost a case in which it had sued the Vietnamese Consular in Uganda, King Caesar Augustus Mulenga and former Bufumbira South aspirant Engineer Alex Niyonsaba Seruganda for fueling conflicts in the diocese.
Late last year, the Diocesan Registered Trustees led by Bishop Cranmer Mugisha sued Mulenga and Niyonsaba through Isaac Sendegeya of Sendegeya and company advocates and Rev. Ezra Bikangiso of Bikangiso and company advocates for donating 650 iron sheets towards the roofing of Muganza Church of Uganda in Seseme Archdeaconry in November 2017.
The applicants claimed that the synod had resolved that no church should receive donations from Mulenga.
However, the Kisoro Chief Magistrate, his Worship Moses Kule Lubangura in his ruling yesterday read for him by the Kisoro Grade II magistrate her worship Lydia Wambuze dismissed the case saying that the plaintiff is non- existing because it has no certificate of incorporation nor does it have powers of Attorney from the registered trustees of Uganda. The diocese was given 30 days to appeal the ruling.
