Over 300 people get free dental medical treatment in Kabale

Over 300 people from Kyanamira sub county Kabale district have been diagnosed and given free dental treatment at a free medical camp that is ongoing at Nyabushabi primary school, Kabale district.

The three day medical camp that will end today was organized by former Ndorwa East Member of Parliament aspirant, Grace Ankunda Bekunda, in collaboration with Kids of Africa, an orphanage organization operating from Entebbe and Devine Dental Clinic in Ntinda Kampala.

The services offered included, dental examination and cleanings, digital x-rays, porcelain veneers, crowns, fillings, teeth whitening, gum treatment, and others.

According to Ankunda, the medical camp was intended to improve on health care in the sub county. She however challenged government to extend better services to lower health centers in order to have healthy and wealthy communities.
The Director of Devine Dental Clinic, Dr Doreen Kiconco, who is also a dentist at Mulago National referral hospital, said that that they lobbied for the camp as a way of giving back to unprivileged community.
