The Bishop of South Ankole Diocese has called on religious leaders not to give up on preaching against poverty and mal-development
Bishop Ahimbisibwe made the call yesterday, while speaking at St. Mathew cathedral Kyamate, during a function to commemorate six years of existence for the diocese. South Ankole diocese was curved from Ankole diocese in 2012. He also noted that this year has been earmarked for gospel outreaches in all places including streets, markets, schools, gardens and other service centres.
Preaching during the service, the wife to Bishop Ahimbisibwe, Dr. Alice Mwesigwa asked Christians, not to concentrate on small issues that would drive them away from the Lord but rather seek the Lord always for protection and guidance.
The function was also attended by the Kinkizi diocesan bishop, Rt Rev Dan Zoreka, George Bagamuhunda of the diocese of Kigezi and their West Ankole counterpart Rt. Rev. Emr. Elisha Kyamugambi, among others.
