Rwanda and Uganda Military Commanders Meet in Kabale for Three-Day Cross-Border Security Talks.
A delegation from the Rwandan Defence Forces (RDF), led by the 5th Infantry Division Commander, Brig Gen Justus Majambere, has today arrived in Kabale District for a three-day proximity commanders’ meeting with the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), aimed at discussing cross-border security issues.
The RDF team was welcomed by the UPDF 2nd Infantry Division Commander, Maj Gen Paul Muhanguzi at Katuna Boarder in Katuna Town Council. The Kabale Resident District Commissioner, Major Godfrey Katamba, praised the RDF and UPDF for fostering a strong working relationship that has enhanced security across the two countries’ borders.
The Kabale District LCV Chairperson, Nelson Nshangabasheija, commended Presidents Yoweri Museveni and Rwandan President Paul Kagame, for fostering cross-border military cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations, which has spurred peace, trade, and development between the two countries.
