Kabale University held to goalless draw by Bugema in UFL opener
Kabale University Football Team was yesterday held to a goalless draw by Bugema University Football Team, in its first match of the University Football League, which was played at Kabale University Playground in Kabale Municipality.
The result earned Kabale University one point, putting them in second place in Group B, behind leaders, Muteesa I Royal University, who secured three points from their first fixture against African Renewal University. Speaking after the game, the Kabale University Head Coach, Denis Tushabe, stated that the team’s ultimate goal is to make history by progressing past the group stage for the first time, while Bugema University Head Coach Meddie Nyanzi, expressed satisfaction with securing a valuable away point against an opponent that has historically been unbeatable at home.
Kabale University is in Group B, alongside Bugema University, African Renewal University, Muteesa I Royal University, Bishop Stuart University, and International University of East Africa (IUEA).
