Kabale Municipality Launches 23 Infrastructure Projects Worth Shs 1.7 Billion

Kabale Municipality Council yesterday launched the construction and rehabilitation of 23 projects valued at over 1.745 billion Shillings.

According to the Kabale Municipality Mayor, Emmanuel Sentaro Byamugisha, 22 of the 23 projects will focus on upgrading 16.9 kilometers of roads across the three divisions in the municipality. The 23rd project is an infrastructure upgrade at Rutoma Health Centre III, which includes a retainer wall and compound paving, estimated to cost 742 million shillings.

Byamugisha said the projects are scheduled for completion by June next year. Speaking at the launch at Rutoma Health Centre III, the Kabale Resident District Commissioner, Major Godfrey Katamba, warned the contractors against substandard work.
