34 year old woman commits suicide in Kabale district.

The police in Kabale district are investigating circumstances under which 34 year old woman allegedly committed suicide.The deceased has been identified as Janifer Tukamushaba a resident of Rushumo cell Tarabana parish, Buhara sub county in Kabale district.

The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly said that the deceased allegedly committed suicide on Thursday at around 11:00AM by hanging herself in the house when her other family members were in the garden, adding that It’s alleged that the deceased at times would develop a mental sickness and start doing uncoordinated things at home.

Maate adds that the deceased woke up very well and moved to the garden with the husband with other workers up to around 11am when she moved back home to prepare lunch for them and instead committed suicide by hanging on the roof having used a ladder though it’s said that there was no misunderstanding with husband.

Maate noted that Police were notified, visited the scene of crime, photos taken and statements recorded from witnesses. He further said that the body was conveyed to Kabale hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination and inquiries have been established to ascertain the likely cause of the suicide.
