Rubanda District Council yesterday approved the budget estimates for the 2026/27 financial year, totaling to 45.7 Billion Shillings.
The estimates were presented to the district council by District Chairperson Stephen Ampaire Kasyaba during a sitting at the District Council Hall in Rubanda Town Council. Kasyaba said that out of the total approved budget estimates, 43.7 billion Shillings will be allocated to higher local governments, while 2 billion Shillings will be sent to the lower local governments.
He added that the budget is projected to be funded by 1.1 billion shillings in local revenue, 5.2 billion in discretionary grants, 38 billion in conditional grants, 1.1 billion from other government transfers, and 230 million shillings from external financing and development partners.
