Elizabeth Aturinda Abaho Refutes contesting in the 2026 elections

Elizabeth Aturinda Abaho, a former aspirant in the 2020 National Resistance Movement (NRM) party primaries for the Rukiga District Woman Member of Parliament seat, has refuted the allegations that she is going to contest on the same seat in the forthcoming elections.
Aturinda, who lost the NRM primaries got 16, 539 votes, against the incumbent Woman MP, Caroline Kamusiime Muhwezi, who got 24,279 votes.
Aturinda, rubbished rumors circulating on social media platforms that she is going to contest in the 2025 NRM primaries. She said that the rumors are being spread by people who are against of the development of Rukiga.
