Woman arrested in rukungiri following husband’s death.
A woman in her 30s has been arrested in Rukungiri district, following the death of her 48-year-old husband, Elias Kasigazi, who was found dead in his bedroom at their home in Omukacundezi Village, Nyarushanje subcounty.
The suspect, was identified as Pamela Tumuhereze, a resident of Omukacundezi Village. According to police, Tumuhereze was arrested after she claimed that four unidentified men attacked them on Saturday night at their business premises, tied her and cut her husband to death.
However, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate, told our reporter today that when police detectives visited the scene yesterday, they did not see any signs of forced entry into the house, and arrested Tumuhereze, to help in the investigations.
