Kabale, Rukiga, Rubanda NRM Elections Conclude Peacefully Overall

The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party’s sub-county-level elections in Kabale, Rukiga, and Rubanda Districts concluded largely peacefully today, despite isolated violent incidents reported in Kabale’s Northern Division, Katuna Town Council, Kahungye Sub-County, and a few other polling stations.

In most Sub-Counties, Divisions, and Town Councils visited, voting was largely peaceful, with many voters and candidates satisfied with the results. While some polling stations reported issues with ineligible candidates and voters, these were promptly resolved by officials.
