Kabale district Okays UGX 57.7 Billion Budget for 2025/26
Kabale District Council has today approved the 2025/2026 budget estimates totaling 57,729,496,000 Shillings indicating a 4.2 percent budget increment of about 3,578,890,000 Shillings from the time of laying the estimates on March 27th 2025.
The budget estimates were presented to council by the Kabale District Chairperson, Nelson Nshangabasheija. According to the budget estimates, 937,420,000 shillings is expected from local revenue, 55,708,066 shillings from Central Government Transfers and 1,084,010,000 from donors. The ending financial year is being run using a budget of 54,150,606,000 shillings.
Nshangabasheija said that the overall District Budget estimates for the Financial Year 2025/2026 has increased by 4.2 percent from the approved revised budget estimates of 55,408,501,000 shillings in the Financial Year 2024/2025 to 57,729,496,000 for the Financial Year 2025/2026.
Nshangabasheija also tabled the annual work plan, capacity building work plan, procurement plan and revenue enhancement plan, which were also approved by the council.
