The distribution of Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) papers in Kabale District began on time today, with 3,887 registered candidates expected to sit the exams across 85 UNEB examination centers.

At Kabale Central Police Station, the storage container for PLE examination papers was opened at 7:20 a.m., with distribution commencing ten minutes later under heavy police and military escort. However, UNEB scouts declined to comment, stating they were under strict orders from headquarters not to speak to the media or allow photographs of the distribution.

The Kabale District Principal Inspector of Schools, Wilberforce Nabaasa also declined to comment, citing an urgent need to deliver examination papers to Katuna, after they were briefly misplaced at Kabale Police Station.
