Fire guts Lyantonde’s Kaaro FM
Fire has gutted Kaaro FM, the only radio station in Lyantonde district. The fire broke out today morning on the first floor of Kyeera house along Main Street in Lyantonde town council where the station was operating from.
Eyewitnesses said that the fire started from the radio production room and spread other parts of the entire premises.
The News Editor, Cleophas Tukamarwa, said that the most affected include the on-air studio and production department, whose equipment was completely destroyed.
Ali Ddamulira alias Bbongo and Farouk Muwonge, both staffs at station explained that they struggled to put out the fire in vain.
