Man who burnt family members in Rubanda district arrested
Police in Rubanda district yesterday night arrested Vianney Armstrong, the key suspect in the murder and arson incident in which his wife and three children were burnt to death.
The suspect, Vian Armstrong 45 a resident of Habutobere Village, Butare Parish in Muko sub county Rubanda district on Saturday night locked his house and torched it leading to the death of his wife and three children.
The deceased were identified as Lovina Muheki wife to suspect and her children Edwin Tumworobere 17-year-old , 15-year-old Westlife Akampuriza and Akira Ekinamushabire.
The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Mate confirmed the arrest noting that the 45-year-old businessman, was arrested after a bodaboda cyclist he had hired to sneak him out, alerted police.
