Three Houses Destroyed, Crops Lost in Kabale Hailstorms
3 houses were yesterday destroyed and crop gardens washed away, following a heavy downpour characterized by hailstorms that hit Butanda Sub County in Kabale District.
Voice of Kigezi agent in the sub county, Dickson Kamuhanda told our reporter today morning that the heavy downpour that started at around 5pm and lasted for more than an hour blew off iron sheets from the houses while others collapsed in Nyabitabo Village, leaving families stranded.
Kamuhanda said crop gardens of climbing beans and cabbages in Bugoto village were also destroyed, noting that sections of the Rwenkorongo-Kyevu road were also destroyed, leaving it impassable.
