Bufundi College Kacereere Unveils New 300 million shs Multipurpose Hall

Authorities in Rubanda District yesterday commissioned a 300 million shillings multipurpose hall, which was constructed at Bufundi College Kacereere in Kacerere Town Council.
The structure will serve as a school assembly hall, dining area, and as an examination center, ending the four-decade-long practice of students trekking to Kacereere Church of Uganda premises to sit for their final exams.
The Rubanda District Chairperson, Steven Kasyaba, said the funds to construct the structure were secured from the government under the Transitional Development Grant (TDG), after the school head teacher, Mannie Mbabazi, decried lack of a main hall at the school.
The Archdeacon of Kacerere Archdeaconry, Venerable Edwardin Mwesigwa, asked the schgol administration to utilize the structure effectively and maintain it to ensure that it even benefits the future or generation.
The Director of Geses Uganda Limited, Eng. Peter Nkurunungi, revealed that the company decided to tile the multipurpose hall floor for free, as a gesture of appreciation for their good working relationship with Rübanda District Local Government.
