US Students Laud Voice of Kigezi’s Impact on Ugandan Community Development
A group of students from Colorado University in the United States has today praised Voice of Kigezi FM for its impactful role in fostering community development in the country.
The students, including Greg Victor, Rose Lucy, and Fredrick Lue, among others, who visited the station premises, applauded Voice of Kigezi for its consistent efforts in promoting the well-being of its listeners. They noted the station’s active role in addressing challenges faced by the local population, particularly in advocating for government support and services.
They emphasized that the station’s programming is exemplary in fostering civic engagement and empowering individuals to seek necessary assistance and interventions from various government agencies.
The visit was aimed at exposing the students to the role of local media, particularly radio in shaping music culture, promoting artists, and influencing public dialogue in Uganda.
