Kabale Court to Rule on Child Release Dispute Against Bishop Asili School

High Court in Kabale is set to deliver its judgment on June 11th 2025, in a case where Tadeo Ruzindantaro, sued Bishop Asili Nursery Day and Boarding and Primary School, accusing the school administration of releasing his child to his estranged wife, Mercy Kirande, without his consent.

The dispute dates back to April 23th 2018, when Ruzindantaro accused the school head teacher, Sister Margaret Tusiime, of collaborating with Kirande to take his child to South Africa.

Ruzindantaro and Kirande, who married in 2003, separated in 2010.

Ruzindantaro is seeking general damages for the inconvenience, psychological, and emotional torture he has suffered due to his daughter being taken without his knowledge.

A judgment notice signed by Kabale High Court Assistant Registrar, Kenneth Tumwebaze on June 4th 2025, confirmed that the decision will be delivered on June 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM.
