Bishop Gaddie Akanjuna retires 12 priests
The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, the Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna has retired 12 priests after clocking the mandatory 65 years of age as it is stipulated in the Church of Uganda Constitution.
The retired priests include; Rev Captain Agrippa Kyarikunda, Rev David Rurihoona, Rev Captain Ezra Karyebura, Rev Laban Migisha, Rev Gad Twinomugisha, Rev Peace Ndyamuhaki, Rev Francis Twebaze, Rev James Bashabomwe, Rev Elidad Turyahikayo and Rev Wilson Bangyendana, among others.
The Archdeacon of Rukore Archdeaconry, Ven Godfrey Twesiime, will retire on October 22, 2024, and the Archdeacon of Kacereere Archdeaconry, Ven Johnson Mushabe, will retire in November this year! Bishop asked the retired priests to nurture other priests who are still in service, if they are to serve Christians.
