Ntungamo Boy Defies Odds, Writes UCE with Feet.
A 20-year-old boy from Ntungamo District, who was born without arms, is among the 108 students sitting their UCE examinations at Kigezi High School in Kabale Municipality. John Kakama uses his feet to write.
Kakama credits his academic journey to God’s grace, and he is confident that he will excel considering the preparation and training he has had.
He has commended his fellow students who have helped through it all by washing his clothes and bathing him. Kakama, who is a double orphan under the care of Child Development Centre in Ntungamo aspires to become a lawyer.
The head teacher of Kigezi High School; Abraham Akampurira said Kakama is a unique student whose success is inevitable because he is one of the best performing students at the school.
