“Secret Matters” Exposed: Kabale Priests Criticize Parishioners.

Some catholic priests in Kabale Diocese have harshly criticized some Christians, who they accuse of recording and exposing what they called “secret matters” discussed during church meetings and masses.
The condemnation follows viral video and audio recordings, in which the Muko Parish Priest in Rubanda District, Rev Fr Eugene Odeda Felix, recently appeared to suggest that a high level church meeting resolved to support only political candidates from the catholic faith.
This attracted public condemnation – including from the catholic faithful, who accused Fr Odeda and some other religious leaders of promoting politics of divisionism rather than merit. Now, presiding over a mass yesterday at Bishaki Catholic Church in Muko Parish, the Christ the King Assistant Parish Priest, Rev Fr Alexander Muhumuza, said it is shameful for Christians to expose matters of the church.
Meanwhile, the Rubanda Parish Priest, Rev Fr Aurelius Maguru, while preaching at Kaara Catholic Centre in Muko Sub-County, noted that even if a religious leader is in wrongdoing, Christians should not expose his/her actions to the public.
Addressing journalists from Kigezi Sub-region on Saturday in Ntungamo District, President Yoweri Museveni, ordered for the arrest and prosecution of promoters of sectarianism.
