Uganda’s virus cases rise to 774 after 4 tested positive for COVID-19

4 new COVID-19 cases were yesterday confirmed by the Ministry of Health, pushing the country’s caseload to 774. The 4 cases were part of 2,224 samples that were tested yesterday.

Two of the confirmed cases were among 1,600 samples tested from points of entry, while the other two cases were among 624 samples of alerts and contacts.

Additionally, 14 foreign truck drivers, who tested positive for COVID-19, including, 9Kenyans, 03 Tanzanians, 01 Burundian and 01 Rwandan, were sent back to their countries of origin.

Uganda has registered a total of 631 Covid-19 recoveries and no Covid-19 related death has been recorded. Uganda currently has 256 Covid-19 patients still on admission, including 143 are Ugandans and 113 are Foreigners.
